At approx 12:57 hours on January 3rd, Company 1 (Anmoore VFD), Engine 21 (Bridgeport VFD), Engine 121 (Stonewood VFD), and Engine 71 (Nutter Fort VFD) were alerted for a commercial structure fire at the UCAR Carbon Plant on West Pike Street in Anmoore. AVFD E12(w/6)arrived on scene reporting a transformer fire in an upper floor room with some contents on fire. E72 (w/4) and T7 (w/1) arrived on scene 4 minutes later and found heavy smoke showing. AVFD and NFFD crews made a quick knockdown of the fire. NFFD assisted in extinguishing the fire and salvage and overhaul. STVFD E122 was ordered to stage but was later returned. Crews went ready at 13:20.
