| House fire leaves family homeless: Fairmont |
|
A fire broke out at a Fairmont home around 7:00 Sunday morning, officials said.
Firefighters say they believe it started on the first floor and then spread throughout the house. The owners were not home at the time, but a family pet died in the fire. The family does not have insurance on their home, friends said. A fund has been set up at Fairmont Federal Credit Union to help the family rebuild after the fire. It is listed under the William Wright fund. Firefighters have not released the cause of the fire. This incident occured in Marion County. |

| Working house fire: Huntington |
|
A family is homeless after a fire in Huntington.
The fire was called in just after 3:00 p.m. Sunday. Barboursville and Green Valley Volunteer Fire Departments battled the blaze on Altizer Avenue. The flames also hit two neighboring mobile homes, causing some damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries were reported. This incident occured in Cabell County. |
