| Downtown building fire: Milton |
|
Firefighters responded to a two-story building that caught fire in the 1000 block of south Main Street in Milton on Saturday evening. Cabell County Dispatch said they received the call at 6:41 p.m..
The building once served as an office complex but current use is unknown. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to Cpt. Kevin Conner with the Milton Fire Department, who was first to respond to the fire. The fire destroyed a substantial amount of the building. This incident occured in Cabell County. |

| Abandoned building burns: Morgantown | |||
|
A fire broke out at a building on Wilson Avenue in Morgantown around 9:00 Saturday night.
It took fire crews several hours to battle the fire at the abandoned building. Another fire started at the same structure just days before, officials said. At last report, no one was injured and the cause of both fires is still unknown. This incident occured in Monongalia County.

| Fire destroys gas station and convenience store: Harts |
|
A fire destroyed a gas station and convenience store along W.Va. 10 in Lincoln County on Saturday.
Around 1 p.m., a fire broke out in the Smith Handy Mart, which contained a gas station, convenience store and living quarters, said Alan Holder, Lincoln County emergency services director. He said seven fire departments from Lincoln and Harrison counties responded to the fire. No one was injured, he said. The cause of the fire is unknown, Holder said. It took several hours for firefighters to contain the blaze, he said. This incident occured in Lincoln County.

| Man killed in firery crash: Bridgeport | |||
|
One person died after a car accident on Route 50 East near Bridgeport around 9:00 Saturday night, police said. The driver apparently lost control of the car, drove over an embankment and landed near Lang Brothers Construction. The car then burst into flames, police said. Officers have not identified the driver of the car and said they will be calling in an accident reconstructionist to figure out how it happened. This incident occured in Harrison County.
