A fire left three people in Institute without a home Thursday.
Around 4 p.m., an electrical fire broke out in the rear of a single-story home on First Avenue South, said Capt. Brian Craft of the Institute Volunteer Fire Department. “It’s not liveable,” Craft said. The home was not completely burned, but was badly damaged by smoke and water, he said. It took firefighters about 45 minutes to put out the flames. This incident occured in Kanawha County. |
